Sunriver Resort is located near a ski ares, with 13 ski lifts serving 71 runs. The resort is also home to three 18-hole championship courses; advance reservations are strongly recommended. The Meadows Course, designed by John Fought, is a modern tribute to the great American courses of 1920s and 1930s. Seven holes border the river. Crosswater, designed by Bob Cup, is a heathland-style course on 600 scenic acres of woodlands and preserved wetlands. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the award-winning Woodlands Course, where an abundance of water and outcroppings of lava rock place a premium on shot accuracy.
